Cats February Inspiration - Get Excited About Your Life

Happy February, Girls!

I am an information freak… I love to learn, which is funny because when I was young and in school, I wasn't nearly as good a student as I am now.

I remember when I went back to school in my 40's, I was a little worried because truth be told, I wasn't an exceptional student in high school in any way, shape or form.

I was also a drama nerd (which at our high school put you a notch above the ROTC). I was not a cheerleader, let alone the cheerleader, in fact I was a bit of an outcast because I was so, um… different. I couldn't wait to graduate so I could get out of dodge and get on with my life as I saw it in my dreams.

Fast forward, when I went back to school to learn everything I could about the mind, how it works, why we do the things we do, and how to assist people to make effective and worthwhile changes so they can get on with their dreams. I wondered if it would be easier or more difficult to be a student. I just learned how to perform The Virtual Lap Band, and I am so excited to help people lose weight without dieting or surgery, just by changing their mind. Every year, I make it my business learn a new technique in hypnosis, which is nothing more than mind and emotional management, and who can't use that?

Anyway, I was worried about what kind of student I'd be, but, because I was studying what I wanted, and something that fascinated me, it turned out that I was a fantastic student! In fact I am still a student.

Of life, of love, of getting on with it and being happy.

But we all are, aren't we? Isn't life like school? We are here to learn something every single day. Learning to laugh at ourselves, learning to let go of the things we have zero control over, learning to be a better friend (to ourselves and to others), a better sister, a better mother, a better wife, learning is forever, and so make it easier on yourself by being in a classroom that fascinates you every day.

If you have kids that get excited over something that you just really don't get… be excited with them anyway.

I promise, if it is exciting them, it is going to be something they excel at and success will come. The same is true for us. When we are excited about something, we don't get tired, we get energized by our work. When we are made to do something that we don't really have a passion for, we don't slide into home plate with gusto, we drag ourselves through each day until the whistle blows.

I want you to get excited about your life.

I don't care if you are 20 or if you are 80, there is never a moment that you can't turn your life into something different and that you want it to become.

Never accept others limitations on you. You are a one and only, there is not another, and never will be. You are a daughter of the most high God, his Princess… and you shall treat yourself as such. You matter. When you come to believe this truest truth, your self-worth will soar. I promise. You are unstoppable, unlimited, and worth everything.

So when it comes to any kind of goal, if you get scared, feel the fear and do it anyway. You'll be shocked at how good it feels to know who is really in charge.

The Body/Mind/Spirit connection is so powerful, because it can't be beat.

How you interpret your place in the world through your mind is everything.

I believe in you, won't you join me?

Love For Sure,

I totally agree with the comment of Cat coming to the midwest! I live in the Chicago area and would really LOVE to see a makeup class in person of yours. You are very inspirational and make the aging process feel a lot better. It really is true if you look your best on the outside you feel so much better on the inside. Thanks Cat!!!

You are awesome, Cat!

I have been a makeup junkie for many years-learned at my grandmother’s knee!! I have tried a lot of products and can honestly say that your products pretty much do what you say they will do. I have been a fan of Cat Cosmetics for the past several years. I also am a firm believer in the mind-body-spirit connection and the importance of self love after seeing this in action first hand, working in the healthcare field for 30 years. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE if Catherine would post more makeup tutorials or bring back the classes she used to have when in NYC. I also would love if Catherine would come to the midwest and do her hypnosis show and talk about makeup!
