What A Wonderful World It Could Be

"Don’t let someone tell you who you are. YOU tell them who you are." -Alexis Anderson, age 12

This past month we had our first 'GET YOUR FIRE BACK' Seminar here in Las Vegas. A very special group of people came from all over, near and far. I know that my new friends left this weekend with a new way to see themselves, and their rightful place in this world.

We had FUN. We laughed, we cried, it was better than Cats. ;-)

WE LOVED. Oh! And we all Looked 10 Years Younger!

I gave people tools for taking what they have, and making the life they want. My goal is to allow others the opportunity to know the power they already have inside, and give them tools to take it back from whoever or whatever they have given it to over the years.

As happens with all of the different seminars that take place at the Heaven on Earth Lodge in our Dream Factory Theater, people cry happy tears on the last day because they will miss being with the new friends they have bonded with. It is a very special honor to know you will be missed!

Nugget, my love rooster, greeted everyone, as we ate great food, loved on each other and learned a variety of things never known, or things once known and have forgotten. I loved having each and every soul in our home, and miss them all.

If you feel as if you do not matter, if you feel as if you have forgotten how to have fun, to trust, to give, to receive, to dream, and to bond with other people, please allow me to remind you of something:

YOU MATTER TO GOD. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO HAVE FUN. YOU CAN TRUST PEOPLE WHEN YOU LEARN TO TRUST YOURSELF, YOUR CHOICES, AND GET YOUR KNOWER BACK ON TRACK. GIVING IS GOOD BUT RECEIVING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT, AND, YOU DESERVE TO RECEIVE.

Getting the life we want is an inside job. There are no external fixes for internal issues. The key is to devote a little time everyday to yourself, not an easy task when we are used to devoting so much time to others, and putting ourselves last in the process.

Learning to say the word no is sometimes the most loving thing we can do for ourselves, and others. Drawing stronger and well-defined boundaries of what we will and will not tolerate is an art and often not one we are taught. Dr. Phil says it best when he says, "we teach people how to treat us."

Even though we may not want to accept that responsibility, we absolutely must. There is no time like now to change the way we think about this. Selfish people need to go from our lives. If they are family members then they can be given an option. They get to choose whether they will change, demonstrating respect for boundaries given. If not, like every other disrespectful person in our life, they can move on to some other victim. We make ourselves victims, not because we want to, but because we don’t know any other way. You will miss nothing by blessing them and sending them on their way.

It’s tough love and it’s important.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say. It feels so good, and you will be happier for it. Life changes for the better when we banish emotional or energy vampires, whether they are friends, employees or family members. No one gets a license to disrespect you unless you let it continue. It is a shocking seal of approval that we agree to.

I speak from painful experience. It has taken me a lifetime, and though I am better at it now than ever before, I still check in with myself when I feel off-balance around someone. I ask myself, "am I allowing something or someone to cross a personal boundary right now?"

This is conscious recovery of negative allowing. It is not always easy to give a vampire their walking papers, but I promise, the peace that comes from having the courage to say "I have had enough, there will be no more" is worth every bit of fear we have about it. And the great part is, when we step up to this, the fear goes away.

Remember, that just as we have said yes to the disrespect, people also have the choice to make it right and change everything for the better

It is for the good of all of us.

My next GET YOUR FIRE BACK SEMINAR at our home in Las Vegas is going to be the weekend of October 4th and 5th, 2014. If you want more information, we will be sending an email out with details in just a few days.

In the meantime, I hope I will see you on my Summer Comedy Hypnosis Tour which begins July 17th in the cities of Harrington, Delaware, Columbus, Ohio and Lewisburg, West Virginia. If so, drop me a note and let me know, and for crying out loud, come meet me after the show. It would be my honor.

You are loved,
Cat

I was one of the lucky ones to go to the seminar. While it didn’t fix me instantly it gave me a sense of I can do this. I have forgotten why we laugh & have a good time. I still am on the extremely straight & narrow.you know the no time for a good laugh just get the job done. In other words just get life done & move on. Going to this seminar opened the door. Can’t wait to go to the next one. I want to boost my progress. I need to work through a lot & the trust issues may never be fix so only myself will know everything. This is a seminar you won’t want to miss. See you there.

These are very inspirational words. I go to co-dependents anonymous meetings and they say these same things. I’m still having trouble speaking up but I’m getting there. Wish you could do a show in South Florida!

July 3, 2014. I think you have a great purpose in life to help others learn how to feel better physically and mentally. You are the best writer I feel possible. So very interesting and so helpful. We had a chicken coop growing up but I never knew you could teach one to be a pet! You are amazing! I wish I could travel to see you, but can’t due to painful RSD. Take care of yourself.
